At The College School, we believe in the transformative power of experiential learning.

With a commitment to academic excellence and hands-on exploration, The College School fosters a vibrant learning community where students not only acquire knowledge but also apply it in real-world contexts, preparing them to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape. Grounded in principles of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, we inspire a lifelong love of learning and empower our students to make meaningful contributions to society.

Students at TCS explore the world through authentic experiences. Along the way, they are part of a close-knit community that allows them to be who they are and to use their voice. It’s no wonder students love coming to school.

“TCS has far exceeded my expectations in providing an education for my children. While there are more hands-on, experiential learning opportunities, it’s the way my children are taught to view the world that leaves the deepest impression. My children have learned more than just academics. They’ve learned life skills that they’ll carry with them well into adulthood.”

Watershed Wonders + Creek Keepers makes for one incredible week!

Session Three of The College School’s Summer Adventure Day Camps made a splash as students dove into the world of water ecosystems! From creek explorations and pool days to river water bottle crafts and snack-tivities, our campers learned why it’s so important to protect our lakes, rivers, and streams. 🌊

Our campers investigated water cycles, explored our LaBarque Creek, and experimented inside and out to discover how water connects us all. 🌍

Protecting our waters starts with curiosity, and these young creek keepers are leading the way! 🐟🌿

Unearthing Fun + History! 🦕⛏️🌊

Our campers *dug* last week’s Summer Adventure Day Camp: Digging into Missouri’s Past!

From crafting dinosaur fossils and “excavating” bones in the sandbox to building forts, creating skits, and floating boats made from natural materials in the creek, these explorers did it all. 🌿🛶

They also dove into Missouri’s rich history, learning about rivers, cities, and landmarks, creating story necklaces, and some even visited the incredible Cahokia Mounds World Heritage Site. What a week of creativity, curiosity, and connection!

TCS Summer Adventure Day Camps are off to a buzzing start! 🐝🌼

Last week’s Pollinator Power theme celebrated the mighty creatures that keep our ecosystems thriving. Campers of all ages jumped into hands-on learning and outdoor fun: interviewing a beekeeper, exploring Shaw Nature Reserve, creating nature art and wildflower seed bundles, painting flower pots and planting seeds, splashing in the creek, and more!

Some even held a pollinator parade and scavenger hunt to celebrate the essential role pollinators play in our world. Talk about a sweet start to summer! 🌸🌍✨
