Congratulations to our Second and Third Grade LEGO FIRST Robotics teams, who celebrated the end of their season by presenting their archeological-themed builds at a joyful after-school festival. Their impressive builds include a windmill, a complex trap door, and some incredibly detailed elements. #EverythingIsAwesome
Who knew lettuce could bring so much joy?
Today, the Kindergarten class joined Lauren, Early Childhood and Greenhouse teacher, and John, Director of Sustainability, for a Salad Party celebrating lettuce and other tasty produce! Taking on the roles of farmers and chefs, students went from carefully harvesting fresh bok choy, oak leaf lettuce, tokyo bekana cabbage, and herbs like onions and parsley from our gardens to chopping vegetables like radishes and carrots, and creating a delicious balsamic vinaigrette from scratch. Others designed menus and helped serve each table, which was beautifully set with fresh flowers.
When children are part of the process, they’re more curious, adventurous, and willing to take that first (and second!) bite.
Simply put, Grandfriends’ Day at The College School is magical.
Thank you to the many special guests who joined us this morning! You are such an important part of our community, and your presence makes a lasting impact on our students. Seeing connections across generations, stories shared, and moments experienced together is what makes this day so meaningful.
Our campus was filled with love, joy, excitement, smiles, and laughter. Today was a beautiful reflection of the strong and caring community that surrounds our students every day.
