Make Every Space A Learning Space
The College School is embarking on Adventuring Together: Make Every Space A Learning Space, a visionary capital campaign to reimagine our main campus. Anchored by the creation of an Adventure Education Center and revitalized shared spaces, this initiative enhances our curriculum, aligns TCS with other leading schools, and reinforces our leadership in experiential learning. Together, we’re shaping the next chapter for TCS students and the generations to come.

BUILDING OUT OUR FUTURE
The College School partnered with Hastings + Chivetta, a leading school design firm, to develop a plan reflecting the capital project priorities determined by the board, faculty, and community through extensive listening sessions and feasibility studies. The project focuses on upgrades to the building, the creation of an Adventure Education Center, and refurbishing hallways, stairwells, and common areas throughout the main building.
HIGHLIGHTS
Adventure Education Center. A new space dedicated to the TCS Adventure Education curriculum, providing resources to faculty and a learning space for students.
Elevated Shared Spaces. Renovating hallways, stairs, and common spaces with new flooring, ceilings, and fixtures and repainting walls to provide a cleaner, modern aesthetic. Creating new tutoring and gross motor spaces and repurposing unused and outdated spaces to be more student-centered.
BENEFITS
Mission-Aligned Renovations. The TCS curriculum encourages students to build confidence, understand teamwork, navigate challenges, and take risks. The Adventure Education Center will be a focal point for TCS to showcase its Adventure Education curriculum and provide space for students to develop their skills.
Welcoming Spaces. For 60 years, TCS has been a regional leader in experiential education. By updating common spaces, our building will become a point of pride for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Prospective Families. By upgrading our facilities, TCS will be in line with other independent schools and have better competitive positioning with prospective families.
Campaign naming opportunities currently exist for donors at the $5,000 and above levels; donors at $2,500 and above will receive recognition on a prominent donor wall of honor. Donors of gifts of any size will be recognized on the website and in a final printed campaign celebration summary. Gifts may be made over one to three-year periods.
