Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish, Appalachian State University

Laura has been a member of our community for 11 years – as a parent, advocate, substitute teacher and, most recently,  leading Kindergarten and Preschool students in Physical Education and Spanish. With a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish, Laura has been immersed in learning and traveling her entire life. She recently had the opportunity to participate in the Intercultura immersion program in Costa Rica. Her passion is leading children both physically and emotionally towards a better understanding of themselves through connection with the natural world and play.  She loves cooking, exploring creeks, playing in mud, reading and looking at stars. Her son Elliott is a 2017 graduate of The College School.
