After two years in a public school setting, he made the transition to Community School, where he worked with the Fifth and Sixth Grade teams, teaching language arts and social studies. He has spent the last ten years teaching at Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS). While at MICDS, Darrett taught history and English in Sixth through Eighth Grades. Darrett has also coached middle school baseball and wrestling as well as middle school and high school soccer. He and his wife Nicole live with their three boys and two dogs in Webster Groves.
