The College School and The Harlan Company won the Associated General Contractors of Missouri’s Keystone Award for The Jan Phillips Learning Center. Featured in an article by The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the award recognizes “contractors who resolve challenges during construction, not a project’s design or appearance.” The Jan Phillips Learning Center is underway is positioned to reach certification in the Living Building Challenge (LBC), the most exclusive level of achievement in a green building rating system. The LBC is the highest level of sustainable architecture in the built environment. There are seven standards that buildings must achieve to satisfy LBC certification: Place, Water, Materials, Energy, Health and Happiness, Equity, and Beauty. Read the article here.
