Heather joined the middle school team in 2011 and made major contributions to our math and science curricula. Her passion for these disciplines is contagious to her students. Most recently, Heather was a math specialist in the Rockwoods School District. Her certifications in math and biology (sixth through twelfth certification) serves her well as our sixth grade math teacher and as a teacher of several of our science exploratory classes. Before coming to The College School, Heather also worked in a psycho-social program for youth and a program at Rockwoods for at-risk students. From this work, she understands how important it is for students to gain a firm academic and socio-emotional foundation during the middle school years. An avid cyclist and a competitive runner, Heather also has a deep respect for environmental education and healthy living. This respect and her cycling skills serves her well in her work with our Seventh Grade Environmental Issues theme.
