At The College School, we believe in the transformative power of experiential learning.
With a commitment to academic excellence and hands-on exploration, The College School fosters a vibrant learning community where students not only acquire knowledge but also apply it in real-world contexts, preparing them to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape. Grounded in principles of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, we inspire a lifelong love of learning and empower our students to make meaningful contributions to society.
Students at TCS explore the world through authentic experiences. Along the way, they are part of a close-knit community that allows them to be who they are and to use their voice. It’s no wonder students love coming to school.
“TCS has far exceeded my expectations in providing an education for my children. While there are more hands-on, experiential learning opportunities, it’s the way my children are taught to view the world that leaves the deepest impression. My children have learned more than just academics. They’ve learned life skills that they’ll carry with them well into adulthood.”

Last week, Kindergarten student Lara shared with her classmates about sacolé, a yummy frozen dessert she enjoys at her papai`s parents` house in Brazil. After showing great enthusiasm about trying this treat, the class, led by Lara, eagerly worked together to make it and then (patiently!) waited a day before enjoying it. And enjoy it they did! Thank you to Lara for joyously sharing something that means so much to her.
Learning through connection leads to understanding and a greater sense of community and belonging. We wouldn`t have it any other way. Bon appétit, Kindergarten! #ExperientialEducation #ConnectingIsLearning #Sacolé

Eighth Grade Biology students spent Monday dissecting sheep brains. Exploring the brain in this way gives students an in-depth knowledge of structural regions, functions, and neurological systems. In addition, throughout the trimester students research the diagnosis of neurological disorders and diseases--giving them a better understanding of the complexities and fragility of the brain. #ExperientialEducation
