Endowment

The College School has an unrestricted fund, which is money to be held and invested for the future benefit of the school. These funds may be designated for special projects by the Board of Trustees but requires a 2/3 majority vote. Growing the endowment fund is essential as we plan for the long-term future of school. 

Every year at the Adventure Auction we have a “Bid for the Unrestricted Endowment,” where funds are raised through a myriad of gifts ranging from $10,000 to $100.

At the 2010 Adventure Auction, $71,000 was raised to support a 28-acre land acquisition in Eureka and renovation of the Little Gym into a Theater. The following year, the "Bid for Unrestricted Endowment" raised over $80,000 in a matter of fifteen minutes. These funds went to build a bridge at LaBarque Property and other special projects around The College School.

Last year at the 2012 Adventure Auction, we had another show of support for our school which was simply breathtaking. We raised a record high $114,000. These funds will be appropriated by The Board of Trustees, and several projects are slated for our LaBarque Property.
