Financial Information

We know that independent school tuition can be expensive for any family. We also believe it is one of the most important investments you and your family will ever make. To help make our program more affordable, The College School offers need-based financial aid to qualifying families.

Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application online and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS. You may submit your application online at www. Factstuitionaid.com. There is a required non-refundable application fee of $ 25.

Once an online application is completed, the following information is required for FACTS to process your application:

  • Copies of your 2012 Federal tax return including all supporting tax schedules.
  • Copies of your 2012 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.

All supporting documentation can be faxed to 1-866-315-9264 or mailed to:
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
PO BOX 82524
Lincoln, NE 68501-2524

We can only award financial aid grants once a student is accepted and his/her financial aid file is complete. We recommend that families do not complete their financial aid application until they have all the required documentation, as decisions are based on the information provided on both. We do our best to accommodate all families who qualify for aid.

Aid awards vary across families and can cover up to 40% of tuition. We are not able to offer 100% tuition grants.

After being accepted to The College School, students receiving an aid award will receive an award letter from our Business Office. Families can choose to accept the award by signing and returning the letter with their enrollment contract.

Diversity Scholarship Awards

Students who meet NAIS diversity criteria can also be eligible for diversity scholarship grants. These grants supplement need-based financial aid for families. The intent of these awards is to enhance the diversity of our school community. Students in the following groups are eligible for diversity scholarship funds: Asian, African-American, Latino/Hispanic, Multi-racial, Native American, and International.

Families do not need to apply separately for Diversity Scholarship consideration. Diverse students are considered automatically for these grants by our Financial Aid and Diversity Committees.

Annual Renewal of Financial Aid

Financial aid needs to be renewed each year, as the pool of families receiving aid shifts over time. Students graduate and new students enter the program. Sometimes, family financial circumstances change considerably (e.g. job loss, etc.) As a result, we ask families to re-apply for aid each school year.
